An odd trend is appearing on Reddit lately.  Folks are posting about unauthorized transactions appearing on their bank accounts for sweepstakes casinos.

In one case, an individual says he's never even heard of the casino for which the charges showed up in his account.

"Hoping someone can give me some advice. Last week 15 transactions showed up on my bank statement from RealPrize.com I have never heard of them until an internet search. The bank agreed with me that they were fraud as they were all the same date and timestam. So they filed the chargeback for me. I was just notified that RealPrize is claiming these are valid charges and attached to ”another account”. so my bank is not refunding my money. They say they have my name, email and address so I must have done it! My response is well no kidding, if they are using my card then they have to have gotten at least some of my info BUT it still was not me and they are fraud charges. I mean they have the exact same date and timestamp on each transaction. Now they say there is nothing I can do. I’m at a loss."

Anna_Banana plays with Legendz but insists the charges appearing on her account were not made by her.

"I woke up this morning and checked my account, like I do honestly every morning. I see my normal transactions but I also see Legendz.com trying to charge me 9.99, which my bank declined (Good bank). I did not make this purchase, heck I haven't logged in or even used legend since Jan. I checked my account there (which only logs in with Google so I know it wasn't compromised either) and look, no transaction for 9.99 in my history either. I sent them an email letting them know I will be contacting my bank to block them going forward and I will also be reaching out to Skrill. Just heads up, check those banks!"

This begs the question: Has one or more sweepstakes casinos been compromised?
